General Contractor

With the General Contractor project delivery method, the owner employs the services of Architects, Engineers and Consultants and after design is sufficiently complete, will either select a general contractor and begin negotiations or wait until design is complete and offer the design for competitive bids. In today’s market, this method is quickly becoming the least desirable. An owner typical pays a higher fee for design and value-engineering considerations have not been applied. Generally this method takes much longer to complete the process of design and construction.
